Blast Off With Comets
Kingsthorpe Jets Comets is ready to welcome more children for fun, football and plenty of smiles every single Saturday. Designed as a safe and supportive space for disabled children aged 5 to 11, Comets is all about helping every child kickstart their football journey in a way that feels enjoyable, positive and completely their own.
These sessions are packed with energy, encouragement and fun, giving children the chance to play, build confidence, make friends and simply enjoy being themselves. Comets is about far more than football. It is about creating a place where every child feels included, celebrated and excited to come back week after week.

Kingsthorpe Jets May Half Term Football Camp
Looking for something active, fun and engaging for the children this half term? Kingsthorpe Jets, in association with NN Active, is running a May Half Term Football Camp across three days on Tuesday 26 May, Wednesday 27 May and Thursday 28 May 2026.
The camp will take place from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Thomas Becket School and is open to children aged 5 to 14. Led by Joe, Sonny and Ilanna, the sessions promise plenty of football, energy and enjoyment, with action-packed days delivered by UEFA C qualified coaches.
Families can choose the option that works best for them, with prices set at £20 for one day, £35 for two days or £50 for all three days. Packed lunch can also be added for just £5 per day, making it even easier for parents to plan the week.
As well as great football fun, parents can book with confidence knowing that all coaches are fully DBS checked and trained in safeguarding and first aid. 10 Teams In Action As The Season Starts To Wind Down
As the season begins to wind down, there is still plenty of football to look forward to this weekend, with 10 Kingsthorpe Jets teams in action.
While the campaign may be starting to draw to a close, there is no drop in effort or excitement, with our teams still competing, developing and enjoying every opportunity to pull on the Jets shirt. Every match at this stage of the season is a chance to finish strongly, build momentum and create more great memories along the way.

Typhoons Clinch League Title in Stunning 10-3 Away Win
Kingsthorpe Jets Typhoons were crowned Under 13 League Champions on Tuesday, 29 April 2026, after an outstanding 10-3 away victory over Bugbrooke.
The girls made a flying start, racing into a 2-0 lead early on, with the second goal coming from the penalty spot after a clear push in the box. Bugbrooke responded with a penalty of their own, but Typhoons stayed calm, trusted their football and continued to play with real confidence.
Going forward, Typhoons were outstanding before half-time. Brilliant movement, sharp passing and composed finishing saw them add four more goals to take full control of the game by the break. They carried that momentum into the second half, scoring three quick goals to put the match beyond doubt.
Bugbrooke continued to battle well and took their chances, including an excellent finish from their forward, but Typhoons kept pushing right to the end and rounded off the performance in style with a lovely cross and finish to complete a superb 10-3 win.
The goals were shared across the team, with Fabiola and Sarah both scoring hat-tricks, Harvey adding two, and Rai and Lucie each getting on the scoresheet.
Isla was named Player of the Match for a superb defensive display, covering brilliantly at the back and reading the game so well throughout.
This result means Typhoons are Under 13 League Champions with three games still to play, a remarkable and fully deserved achievement. The team’s togetherness, hard work, attitude and willingness to improve have been clear all season, and this title win is a reward for everything they have put in.
The girls now look ahead to their next fixture away to Kettering Reds on Saturday, but this was a night that will live long in the memory for everyone involved.

Extra Tournament Date Announced For Older Age Groups
Kingsthorpe Jets is pleased to announce an extra date for our 2026 Summer Football Tournament, with Saturday 25 July now confirmed for our older age groups. This additional tournament date will give U13s, U15s, U16s and U18s the chance to be part of what promises to be another fantastic day of grassroots football.
As this is the third year of running our tournament, we are excited to continue growing the event and creating more opportunities for teams across different age groups to get involved. The tournament has quickly become a highlight of the summer, bringing together players, coaches and families for competitive football, a great atmosphere and a strong community feel.

Majesty Crowned League Champions
Kingsthorpe Jets Majesty signed off in style on Saturday, 25 April 2026, with a superb 7-2 away league win over Woburn, capping the day with league title celebrations.
Majesty made a brilliant start, racing into an early lead with two quick goals and setting the tone for the afternoon. With the sun beating down and temperatures rising, the game naturally slowed, but the girls stayed composed and continued to show their quality. Two more goals before half-time, despite conceding twice, sent Majesty into the break with a strong 4-2 advantage.
Woburn came out with more intensity in the second half, but Majesty’s defence stood firm and refused to let them back into the match. As the game moved into the final quarter, the team produced some excellent football and added two more goals to seal an outstanding 7-2 victory.
The goals were shared around impressively, with Maisie leading the way with a hat-trick, while Sophie K, Evie and Lucy all added their names to the scoresheet.
There was no single Player of the Match this week because every player earned it. The whole squad delivered an outstanding performance, and it was the perfect way to celebrate being crowned league champions.

U11 Comets begin the finals run on Saturday 25 April 2026, taking on Kettering FC Youth in the NTFA U11 Girls Cup Final. Kick-off is at 9:30am at Wellingborough Whitworth FC, and it promises to be a brilliant occasion for a young side that has worked so hard to reach this stage.
Ladies are in action on Sunday 26 April 2026, when they face Corby Town FC Ladies in the NTFA Women’s Cup Final. Kick-off is at 2:30pm at Wellingborough Whitworth FC, with the team aiming to cap off a fantastic cup run by bringing home the silverware.
Hurricanes are next up on Saturday 9 May 2026 as they take on Crick Colts FC in the NDYAL U13 Plate Final. The match kicks off at 2:30pm at Bugbrooke St Michael FC, where the team will be hoping to produce a big performance on finals day.

Typhoons are in action on Sunday 17 May 2026 against Kettering Town FC in the NW&GFL U13 Plate Final. Their final kicks off at 1:30pm at Corby Town FC, Steel Park, and the team will be looking to make the most of their well-earned place in the final.
Prodigy also play on Sunday 17 May 2026, taking on Roade FC in the NW&GFL U15 Plate Final. Kick-off is at 5:00pm at Corby Town FC, Steel Park, rounding off what should be an exciting day of finals football for the club.
Sabres complete the finals line-up on Saturday 23 May 2026, when they face Moulton Magpies Whites in the NFA CC U14 Trophy Final. Kick-off is at 3:00pm at NTFC Sixfields Stadium, which will make it an even more special occasion for the team as they step out at one of the area’s standout venues.
We also recognise the efforts of our Reserves, who reached the League 4 Cup Final against Woodford United A and finished as runners-up. Getting to a final is an achievement in itself, and they should be proud of their cup run.

Kingsthorpe Jets is pleased to be offering Walking Football, giving adults the chance to stay active, enjoy the game and be part of a friendly football community. It is a great way to keep moving, meet new people and enjoy football in a fun and welcoming environment.
Sessions take place every Wednesday at 6:30pm at Kingsthorpe Recreation Ground and every Sunday at 11:00am at Thomas Becket School 3G. With all abilities welcome and no experience required, it is open to anyone who wants to give it a go.

Wild Cats is all about having fun while learning new skills. Whether your child is trying football for the very first time or already loves playing, the sessions are open to all abilities and give every girl the chance to grow in confidence and enjoy being active.

Mini Jets: Big Fun for Little Footballers
Kingsthorpe Jets Mini Jets is a brilliant way for young children to start their football journey in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment. Aimed at children in Reception and Year 1, these sessions are all about helping little ones enjoy football, build confidence and develop basic skills with the support of qualified coaches.
Taking place every Thursday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Kingsthorpe Recreation Ground, Mini Jets offers a great introduction to the game for boys and girls who want to get active, make new friends and have fun outdoors. The sessions are designed to be welcoming and enjoyable, with no pressure, just plenty of football fun.
One of the great things about Mini Jets is that there is no subscription required, making it easy for families to get involved. It is pay as you play at just £4 per session, with payment made at the cafe window.

Busy Weekend Ahead for the Jets
It’s shaping up to be a packed and exciting weekend for the Jets, with 12 home games taking place across the Rec and at TB. With teams in action throughout the weekend, there will be a real buzz around both venues as players, coaches, families and supporters come together for another busy round of fixtures.
Home weekends like this are always special for the club. They give our teams the chance to play in familiar surroundings, backed by friendly faces on the sidelines, and they highlight the scale of activity right across the Jets setup. From the first whistle to the final game, there will be plenty of football on show and lots of opportunities for our players to put in strong performances.
With matches spread across both the Rec and TB, it will be a busy schedule on and off the pitch. A huge effort goes into making weekends like this run smoothly, and it is always great to see the club come alive with so many games being played at home.

Lightnings Battle to Hard-Earned Point at Home
Kingsthorpe Jets Lightnings picked up a deserved point in a 0-0 draw at home to Kettering FC on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, in an entertaining league match at Thomas Becket.
It was an end-to-end game that kept everyone engaged throughout, with both sides creating moments and pushing for the breakthrough. From a neutral perspective, it was a highly entertaining contest, and on another day either team could have taken all three points.
The Lightnings showed great character throughout, working hard for one another and staying compact when it mattered most. Their defensive effort was especially impressive, with the whole team sticking together and supporting each other in key moments.
A special mention goes to Hudson Jayes, who was named Player of the Match after his first game on pitch. Hudson worked tirelessly from box to box in midfield and made a big contribution with his energy and commitment.
There was plenty for the team to be proud of, and they now look ahead to their next fixture: an away trip to Santos Panthers Black on Sunday, 19 April 2026.
