Kingsthorpe Jets Raiders produced an excellent cup performance against Woodford United, securing a well-deserved victory at Kingsthorpe Rec.
The Raiders controlled the game from the start but had to remain patient as Woodford defended well. The breakthrough eventually came before half-time, giving the boys a deserved lead at the interval.
The team knew the next goal would be important, and they started the second half brilliantly. Their second goal settled everyone’s nerves and gave the Raiders greater confidence for the rest of the game.
The boys continued to work tirelessly all over the pitch, with every player putting in a fantastic shift. Ozzy N led the way with two well-taken goals, while Louie H also got on the scoresheet.
Ozzy N was named Player of the Match after a superb display of nonstop running, positive communication and confident leadership.
Everyone should be proud of the team performance. The Raiders showed patience, determination and togetherness to earn their cup victory.
The team now look ahead to their next fixture away against Wollaston Victoria Blue on Saturday, 26 September.
A special thank you to the Raiders’ team sponsors, TellUs Power and T3 Signs, for their continued support.
