Kingsthorpe Jets Cobras produced a fantastic performance away to AFC Rushden & Diamonds Kites, securing a well-earned league victory.
The Cobras started quickly, creating several chances and showing plenty of attacking intent. Despite missing some early opportunities, the team stayed patient, continued to battle and were eventually rewarded with the goals their performance deserved.
The match also brought a few injuries, which meant players had to move into unfamiliar positions. Everyone adapted brilliantly, showing great character, teamwork and a real commitment to the team.
Cody Lee led the way with three goals, while Mataus, Stan and Fella all scored twice, with Ryley also getting on the scoresheet.
Cody Lee was named Player of the Match for his excellent work off the ball and his outstanding finishing.
It was a really positive performance from everyone involved. The Cobras showed patience, togetherness and determination from start to finish, earning a result they fully deserved.
The team now look ahead to their next fixture away against West Haddon Albion.
A special thank you to the Cobras’ team sponsors, Ai Electrical, Sapphire Scaffolding and Safepac, for their continued support.
