Update – February 2015

Over the last few months the club’s Executive Committee have held a series of meetings to identify a long term development plan. This is with the aim of the club moving to Chartered Standard Development Status and the increased prestige that goes with that and associated benefits such as access to coaching mentor visits.

The club’s development plan has focussed on 7 particular areas:-
• Growth and Retention
• Raising Standards and Addressing Abusive Behaviour
• Better Players
• Running the Game
• Workforce Development
• Facility Development
• Promotion

Some examples of the sort of things that are going to be looked at are maintaining the clubs structure of teams, raising the profile of the Respect agenda, agreeing standards for coaching sessions, increasing coaching / management capacity, establishing a volunteering strategy and increasing awareness of the club through promotion in local schools / community centres and venues.

As with all plans of this nature they will only be successful with the support and participation of everybody associated with the club. Hence the volunteering strategy being a key priority and hopefully you will will be able to help these objectives to be achieved.

If you have any suggestions for the club to add to it’s plans for development then please e-mail
